Leading Web3 entertainment brand The Sandbox has opened pre-registration for early access to its new mobile game, The Sandbox NEXT. Developed using Unreal Engine, the game aims to offer players a novel mobile experience that blends multiplayer extraction survival gameplay, extensive customization, and cross-platform asset interoperability.
A core feature of The Sandbox NEXT is the seamless migration of players' The Sandbox game platform identities, progress, and all Voxel assets, including User-Generated Content (UGC) and branded IP assets, into the new game. The game delivers fast-paced, highly replayable PvP combat, tightly integrating hardcore, skill-testing mechanics with The Sandbox's vast player-driven ecosystem. Notably, player avatars from over 56 brand IPs, such as Snoop Dogg, Attack on Titan, Smiley, Steve Aoki, Paris Hilton, and The Smurfs, will no longer be confined to single game matches.
In terms of game environments, players will be immersed in the open-terrain map of "Desert," constructed around line-of-sight and ranged combat; alternatively, they can opt for the "City" map, designed for verticality and close-quarters combat, testing players' adaptability. Each game session supports a solo mode or multiplayer mode with up to 20 players teaming up.
The launch of The Sandbox NEXT serves as a new gateway into The Sandbox ecosystem, consolidating core experiences of "Playing," "Collecting," and "Expressing Identity." This mobile release marks a significant milestone for The Sandbox, a leading entertainment brand in the Web3 space. Currently, The Sandbox has partnered with over 400 brands and IP holders across gaming, music, fashion, and culture, including renowned partners like Warner Music Group, Gucci, Ubisoft, Snoop Dogg, and Lacoste.
