MicroStrategy Continues to Accumulate Bitcoin, Saylor Hints at Future Purchases

MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor hinted that the company may continue to increase its Bitcoin holdings, currently holding over 720,000 coins with a total investment of over $54.7 billion. Under macroeconomic pressure, the company still adheres to its scarce asset strategy, drawing widespread market attention.

MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor recently posted on social media with the title "The Second Century Begins," hinting that the company may continue to increase its Bitcoin holdings. Previously, last Monday, the company purchased 3,015 Bitcoins at an average price of $67,700 per coin, increasing its total Bitcoin holdings to 720,737 coins, with a total investment of approximately $54.77 billion. Currently, its average holding cost is approximately $75,985 per coin, ranking first among global companies in Bitcoin holdings.

To support continuous Bitcoin acquisitions, MicroStrategy has long relied on its STRC preferred stock to raise funds through an "at-the-market offering" mechanism, converting investor demand into funds for purchasing Bitcoin. Any new purchases must be publicly disclosed in accordance with the regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Despite recent macroeconomic pressures—persistent inflation, rising unemployment, tightening liquidity, and the latest non-farm payroll data unexpectedly showing a decline in employment—and some institutions like BlackRock limiting redemptions due to insufficient liquidity, MicroStrategy remains committed to its long-term holding strategy. Saylor has repeatedly emphasized the scarcity of Bitcoin, stating that "the total amount of Bitcoin available globally is far from sufficient to meet all demand." Amid increased market volatility, MicroStrategy's robust operations reflect its firm belief in Bitcoin as a digital reserve asset. The market is closely monitoring its subsequent regulatory filings and official announcements to determine its next purchasing moves.
