American Bitcoin Corp. Adds Nearly 11,300 Miners, Significantly Boosting Hashrate

American Bitcoin Corp. (ABTC) recently announced the purchase of 11,298 new ASIC miners, comprehensively upgrading its mining infrastructure. This expansion is expected to increase the company's total number of owned miners by 12% to 89,242 units, with a total hashrate approaching 28.1 EH/s. Once the new equipment is fully online, the actual number of miners in operation will reach 58,999, providing a sustained hashrate of approximately 25.0 EH/s, with average energy efficiency optimized to 14.1 joules per terahash (J/TH), a significant improvement compared to the previous average of 16 J/TH.

Company co-founder Eric Trump stated, "As the Bitcoin ecosystem matures, the core goal is to develop a domestically-based, professionally-operated hashrate network in the United States. This not only strengthens network security but also lays the foundation for technological innovation and American leadership in the Bitcoin space."

This equipment upgrade is a key step in the company's long-term mining strategy, focusing on deploying high-efficiency hardware, reducing energy costs, and maintaining a flexible response to market and network dynamics. By optimizing its operational structure, the company aims to achieve low-cost Bitcoin production and gradually increase its Bitcoin holdings per share. Financial data shows that for the quarter ended December 31, 2023, the company's revenue reached $78.3 million, a year-over-year increase of 22%, slightly below analysts' expectations of $79.6 million, but still reflecting steady growth. As a significant domestic Bitcoin mining company in the United States, ABTC is consolidating its competitiveness in the industry through continuous capital investment.
