Macro analyst Dr. Jim Willie has stated that if XRP breaks through key price levels, it could see a significant surge, outlining a price trajectory from low levels to double digits. He emphasized that these price levels are the main focus, rather than higher speculative targets.
Related to Wall Street Conditions
Willie connects this outlook to the pressures within the traditional financial system, particularly the struggles of major banks. He noted, “As Wall Street is already insolvent, they need a bailout, and XRP will be used as a tool.” He also mentioned that the acquisition of a banking license by Ripple at the end of last year was seen as a signal. “They gave this signal back in November and December when Ripple obtained the banking license.”

Institutional Coordination Statements
This analyst further stated that major financial institutions are coordinating behind the scenes. “It’s like they have some backdoor deals,” he remarked. He added that companies like JPMorgan and BlackRock are working to shape the upcoming regulatory framework. “JPMorgan and BlackRock are trying to write the Transparency Act,” he noted, mentioning that the regulatory framework may include provisions related to digital identity, as well as potential restrictions on staking, rewards, and dividends.
Regulatory and Political Pressure
Willie also touched on the political dynamics surrounding the banking industry. “Trump is criticizing the big banks... this is very dangerous,” he said. He added that large financial institutions might support regulatory transparency due to cost-cutting efficiencies. “Wall Street wants the Transparency Act passed as soon as possible because they realize that transfer costs will be reduced by 80% to 85%.”

XRP's Role in Payments
According to Willie, XRP could play a significant role in cross-border settlement systems. “XRP will become the standard neutral bridge asset,” he said. He linked this view to broader macroeconomic issues, including potential bond and credit crises.
Trigger Factor: Credit Market Pressure
Willie stated that XRP's price movements could coincide with a collapse of trust in the financial system. “When we face a major global credit crisis, the payment trust between A and B will disappear... XRP eliminates the corresponding bank custody.” He also mentioned the capital scale within the existing system. “There is $25 to $27 trillion in capital for corresponding custody... in the U.S., there is $8 to $10 trillion.”
