Nigel Farage Invests in UK Bitcoin Firm, Former Chancellor Backs Crypto Vision

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage and former Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng invest in Bitcoin firm Stack BTC, planning to build BTC asset reserves through acquisitions of local businesses and promote the UK as a global crypto financial hub.

UK-based crypto firm Stack BTC Plc recently completed a funding round, raising $347,200. Investors included Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform UK party, and prominent crypto platform Blockchain.com. The financing was achieved through the issuance of 5.2 million ordinary shares, priced at 5 pence per share. The funds will be used to acquire and develop UK-based businesses, build Bitcoin asset reserves, and support daily operations.

In a statement, Farage said that London and the UK have long led the global financial system and are fully capable of becoming a major international hub for the crypto industry. He emphasized the role of UK SMEs in supporting the economy – approximately 60% of private sector jobs originate from them – and that Stack, by integrating and nurturing physical businesses, is expected to achieve the dual goals of long-term capital appreciation and job creation.

Stack Executive Chairman and former UK Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng expressed strong agreement. He believes that Farage's strong support for the UK business ecosystem, and his forward-looking judgment on Bitcoin's rapid expansion in the financial system, are highly aligned with the company's core philosophy. At the same time, the company is continuously improving its crypto asset custody infrastructure to ensure that the security and compliance of its Bitcoin reserves meet the highest industry standards. According to the arrangement, the newly issued shares will be listed on the Aquis Growth Market from March 12, 2026. Some investors will also receive warrants that can be exercised in the future, allowing them to further increase their shareholding if certain conditions are met. After the transaction, Stack's total share capital will increase to 68.13 million shares, of which Farage holds 4.3 million shares (6.31%) and Kwarteng holds 3.7 million shares (5.43%). The remaining shares are held by other directors and related parties. Currently, the company's existing parties acting in concert hold a total of 45.21% of the shares.
