Binance has not issued any official statement regarding rumors of Nillion (NIL) switching to ERC-20. This article clarifies misinformation, reminds users to be vigilant against asset losses due to network misoperations, and provides safe operation advice.
Recent online rumors have circulated regarding Nillion (NIL) migrating to the ERC-20 standard with support from Binance. However, as of now, Binance has not released any official announcement confirming this change. These rumors largely stem from misinterpretations of actions on other platforms, and there is no authoritative information supporting the idea that Binance will discontinue native chain support for NIL or switch to the Ethereum network.
According to the project introduction previously published by Binance Academy, Nillion (NIL), as the 65th Launchpool project, has launched multiple trading pairs on the platform. However, its original materials do not mention any network migration plans. In contrast, the Bitget exchange has explicitly announced the completion of the NIL ERC-20 token upgrade, with the new contract address being 0x7cf9a80db3b29ee8efe3710aadb7b95270572d47, implementing a 1:1 original value exchange and ceasing deposit and withdrawal services for the old chain tokens. However, this change is limited to the Bitget platform and does not constitute a general guideline for Binance or other exchanges.
Investors should be wary of online confusion risks. If users mistakenly send NIL tokens to the wrong network (such as transferring native chain tokens to an Ethereum address) without official confirmation, it may result in permanent loss of assets. Therefore, any operations involving token migration should be strictly based on the official announcements released by the platform, including key information such as the new contract address, exchange ratio, and old chain shutdown time.
Currently, Binance's handling of NIL remains unchanged, and native network support is unaffected. Users are advised to continue to monitor Binance's official announcement channels and avoid relying on unofficial sources or information from third-party platforms. Do not perform cross-chain operations without clear guidance.
