Currently, the expansion of the TOK1 campus is progressing rapidly, with an expected addition of 100 megawatts of processing power in the near future to meet the high-density computing needs of major Japanese cloud service providers and technology companies. Simultaneously, AirTrunk is accelerating the construction of the Osaka OSK1 data center and plans to establish a national headquarters, further deepening its presence in Japan. The company has committed a total investment of $8 billion in Japan, and its four campuses in Tokyo and Osaka (TOK1, TOK2, OSK1, OSK2) will have a total capacity approaching 530 megawatts, making it one of the largest data center networks in Japan. This green loan is jointly led by 12 internationally renowned financial institutions, including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and BNP Paribas, demonstrating the financial community's high recognition of sustainable data center operating models. The project strictly adheres to green finance standards, promoting the data center industry's transition to low-carbon operations through renewable energy power supply, efficient cooling systems, and carbon reduction designs. As global competition for computing power intensifies, Japan is rapidly becoming a core hub for digital infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region. AirTrunk's expansion not only serves the local technology ecosystem but also provides solid support for international companies deploying AI and big data applications in Japan.
