Trust Wallet launches real-time scam address detection, effectively preventing address poisoning attacks, having blocked over 225 million malicious attempts, protecting users from hundreds of millions of dollars in losses, and helping to improve the security of crypto assets.

Trust Wallet has recently introduced an address poisoning protection feature, adding a real-time screening mechanism to help users identify and avoid cryptocurrency wallet addresses that appear similar but are actually malicious. This type of attack, known as "Address Poisoning," is listed by Trust Wallet as one of the fastest-growing threats in the crypto space. According to platform statistics, more than 225 million such attacks have occurred globally to date, resulting in at least $500 million in confirmed losses.

Attackers inject fake addresses into users' transaction history, inducing them to mistakenly transfer funds. For example, a malicious transaction of up to $50 million was completed by disguising the address 0xcB8, which can be verified on Etherscan.

Users should avoid directly copying addresses from historical transactions and should manually verify or use trusted address verification tools. Currently, in addition to Trust Wallet, major wallets such as Rabby Wallet, Zengo Wallet, and Phantom Wallet have also integrated similar risk interception functions to jointly improve industry security levels.
