Trust Wallet recently announced the full deployment of an automatic address poisoning protection mechanism in its wallet client, covering 32 EVM-compatible blockchain networks, including Ethereum, BSC, and Polygon. This feature intelligently identifies abnormal transaction address patterns and proactively blocks maliciously constructed similar addresses, effectively reducing the risk of fund loss due to address copy errors or phishing attacks.
This protection system is based on a continuously updated threat intelligence library, which can analyze the character similarity of on-chain addresses, transaction history behavior, and community reporting data in real time. Once potential "address poisoning" attack signs are detected, the system will immediately pop up a high-risk warning, preventing users from transferring funds to suspicious addresses. Compared with the traditional protection method that relies solely on manual verification by users, this automated mechanism significantly improves the response speed and coverage of security protection.
