SG-FORGE, Société Générale's Subsidiary, Deploys EURCV Stablecoin to Stellar Network

SG-FORGE, the fintech subsidiary of Société Générale, recently announced the official deployment of its Euro-denominated stablecoin, EURCV, to the Stellar blockchain network. This deployment aims to expand the application of EURCV in decentralized finance scenarios and improve the efficiency of institutional users in on-chain settlement and digital asset transactions.

The Stellar network, with its efficient and low-cost characteristics, supports the issuance and on-chain trading of digital assets. Its built-in decentralized exchange allows users to complete asset swaps directly on the chain without relying on centralized platforms. This architecture provides solid support for the liquidity of stablecoins in financial infrastructure, enabling institutions to more easily access tokenized bonds, digital payment systems, and other innovative financial instruments.

This deployment marks the fourth blockchain channel for EURCV after Ethereum, Solana, and XRP Ledger, signifying the continued deepening of its cross-chain layout. Previously, the stablecoin was included in a cross-border settlement pilot project by SWIFT in January 2024 to verify the bond settlement process between traditional currencies and on-chain assets, initially validating its compatibility and practicality in mainstream financial systems. As more financial institutions participate in on-chain asset experiments, EURCV is gradually becoming an important bridge connecting traditional finance and the blockchain ecosystem, promoting the standardization and large-scale development of European digital financial infrastructure.
