NVIDIA Invests $2 Billion in Nebius to Build AI Cloud Infrastructure

NVIDIA invests $2 billion in Nebius to build a dedicated AI cloud platform, deepening its ecological layout in the AI infrastructure field and promoting full-stack control from chips to computing power, reshaping the underlying architecture of next-generation artificial intelligence.

NVIDIA recently announced a $2 billion investment in Russian technology company Nebius to jointly build a dedicated cloud platform for artificial intelligence workloads. This collaboration focuses on constructing high-performance computing infrastructure, integrating GPU acceleration technology, intelligent networks, and distributed training systems, aiming to provide stable and scalable computing power support for next-generation AI applications.

Currently, global AI development is entering a new stage driven by computing power. Traditional cloud computing architectures face bottlenecks when processing large model training and high-concurrency inference tasks, while Nebius is redesigning data center architecture from the ground up based on NVIDIA's accelerated computing platform. The system will support large-scale computing cluster management, autonomous intelligent agent operation, and multi-node AI task scheduling, becoming a true "AI factory."

This collaboration is not an isolated event but a key part of NVIDIA's strategy to build a closed-loop AI ecosystem. In recent years, the company has continued to increase its investment in the AI infrastructure field: it previously invested $2 billion each in Lumentum and Coherent to support the development of photonic chips and laser technology; it also participated in OpenAI's multi-billion dollar financing and plans to invest up to $10 billion in Anthropic. In addition, NVIDIA has invested in Thinking Machines Lab, founded by former OpenAI executive Mira Murati, to deeply explore cutting-edge AI research. Through hardware supply, capital injection, and technological synergy, NVIDIA is gradually penetrating every layer of the AI industry chain—from chips and software frameworks to cloud platforms and research institutions—forming an ecological advantage that is difficult to replicate. The market generally believes that whoever controls the underlying computing infrastructure in the AI era will dominate the technological competition in the next decade. From a technical perspective, NVIDIA's stock price has recently shown an ascending triangle pattern, and the market is closely watching whether it will break through the key resistance level. Investors are not only concerned about its short-term trend but also assessing whether its long-term strategic layout in the AI infrastructure field will continue to drive performance growth.
