Recent accumulation activities by Bitcoin whales have reached the highest levels since 2013, with the market showing a trend of whale dominance in spot trading as holders await price movements.
In the past 30 days, Bitcoin (BTC) whales have been highly active, increasing their reserves by 270,000 BTC. According to Bitfinex data, this buying spree marks the largest whale purchasing activity since 2013.
The trend of whale orders continues, transitioning from retail orders by the end of 2025. Over the past quarter, whales have dominated the spot market, strategically accumulating while BTC trading ranges have remained relatively stable.

The accumulation pattern shows that retail orders typically occur during price declines, while whale accumulation tends to happen during sideways consolidation and relatively stable periods. The recent shift towards spot orders is unrelated to the ongoing weakness in the futures market.
BTC whales and holders face reduced selling pressure.
Despite the slow growth of the BTC market, there has not been any significant selling pressure in recent months. Currently, wallets that have held BTC for over seven years are, on average, in profit, with BTC trading prices stabilizing above $75,000, continuing to recover.
The current spot buying cycle aligns with a new round of strategic purchases, this time supported by STRC digital credit. This strategy has successfully absorbed some of the available selling volume.
BTC holders are waiting for directional price movements.
Although prices remain weak, BTC holders are not in a rush to sell. Currently, BTC's price has dropped over 40% from its peak, yet it still shows responsiveness to positive news in the market.
There is no sign of panic buying or FOMO in the market; instead, there is ongoing strategic accumulation. Whale and shark wallets continue to be significant factors influencing the BTC market, with market participants closely monitoring whether they will shift towards a more bullish sentiment.
