Ric Edelman: Bitcoin Could Surge to $500,000 by 2030 if Clarity Act Passes

Renowned financial advisor and author Ric Edelman has shared his views on Bitcoin's current development and future prospects. Despite short-term uncertainties, he remains optimistic that Bitcoin's value will increase significantly by the end of this decade. Edelman strongly criticized the recent claim that "quantum computers will destroy Bitcoin," calling it "one of the dumbest things he's ever heard," and pointed out that technology is advancing in both directions.

"If someone builds a 10-meter ladder (a quantum computer) to break the blockchain, developers will build a 12-meter wall." He also noted that attackers with quantum capabilities would target more strategic targets, such as the power grid or nuclear codes, rather than Bitcoin.

Regarding legal proceedings in Washington, Edelman focused on the Clarity Act. He stated that banking lobby groups oppose paying interest on stablecoins, but this obstacle must be overcome. Edelman believes that the passage of this bill will officially mark the end of the "crypto winter," and prices will quickly reach new all-time highs. He added that if the bill fails to pass by the end of the year, market momentum may slow down, but the long-term upward trend will not be broken. Furthermore, Edelman reiterated his prediction that Bitcoin will reach $500,000 by 2030. He believes that investors should not chase "get-rich-quick dreams" but should focus on projects with high developer activity and large market share, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. Edelman predicts that only a few major cryptocurrencies will survive in the future, but every asset, from stocks and real estate to gold and baseball cards, will be tokenized.
