Pi Network releases case study exploring AI node computing capabilities, V20.2 upgrade enhances network performance, PI coin breaks resistance, potentially ushering in a new round of gains.
Pi Network recently released a case study exploring the potential for artificial intelligence (AI) computation on its decentralized node network. The team tested whether Pi nodes could leverage idle processing power to handle AI training tasks.
With the support of Pi Network Ventures, seven volunteer node operators collaborated with robotics startup OpenMind to participate in the experiment. The results showed that tasks were correctly assigned and valid computational results were successfully returned to the client, demonstrating Pi Network's ability to support decentralized AI workloads.
With over one million CPUs and 421,000 nodes, Pi Network has the potential to provide significant computing resources to third parties. Node operators may be compensated in cryptocurrency for completing tasks. In addition, the network's tens of millions of KYC-verified users can also provide manual input to AI training systems, opening up new monetization opportunities for the Pi Network ecosystem.
From a price action perspective, the PI coin broke through a downtrend line (near $0.23) that had been suppressing gains since February. The Supertrend indicator turned bullish and is currently at $0.1843. All EMA indicators are below the price, with the 100-day EMA at $0.1969 and the 200-day EMA at $0.2876, a key resistance level. Traders are closely watching the $0.28 area, as the uptrend in the fourth quarter of 2025 stalled and reversed here.
The V20.2 version upgrade has undoubtedly enhanced the network performance of Pi Network, and the AI node experiment provides new possibilities for the future development of Pi Network, which also directly affects market sentiment.
