Stormrae hosted a Solana-based artificial intelligence (AI) challenge that attracted a record-breaking 15,000 participants. Contestants submitted a total of 64,526 prompts in an attempt to breach an autonomous AI agent running on Solana. Ultimately, five participants succeeded, earning over $28,000 in SOL from the AI's on-chain prize pool.
King Arthur, as an autonomous AI agent, operates on Solana with its own wallet and prize pool. Participants attempted to bypass the system solely through dialogue, employing techniques including persuasion, prompt injection, deception, logic exploitation, and emotional manipulation.
Challenge Highlights:

- Seventy percent of credit purchases were directly used to fund the prize pool. All rewards were transparently distributed from the AI's wallet.
- Each interaction generated structured adversarial data, including prompt injection attempts, persuasion patterns, exploitation strategies, and alignment boundary tests. Stormrae stated that this type of dataset is crucial for improving AI safety and reliability.
Marc, CEO of Stormrae, stated, "AI cannot self-assess. Human participation is mandatory, but the infrastructure to involve humans at scale does not exist. We built that infrastructure on Solana and tested it with nearly 15,000 participants. The result is one of the largest real-world adversarial datasets generated through open participation."
The company stated that the challenge showcased a new AI testing model. Instead of relying solely on internal teams or paid labelers, Stormrae introduced economic incentives to encourage a large number of participants to actively probe the model's weaknesses.

King Arthur significantly exceeded the scale of previous on-chain AI experiments. For example, the widely discussed Freysa challenge attracted 195 participants. Stormrae's event attracted over 75 times more participants and generated over 130 times more adversarial prompts.
Stormrae positions Solana as the infrastructure layer supporting this model, allowing autonomous AI agents to control treasuries, distribute rewards, and transparently record results on-chain.
King Arthur represents the company's first public deployment. Stormrae plans to expand the platform to support more AI evaluation and data generation challenges.
Future Outlook
Stormrae is preparing its V3 platform, which will integrate its consumer applications into an ecosystem and introduce new features, including agent-vs-agent red teaming, data labeling, and enterprise infrastructure for large-scale AI evaluation.
