Altcoins to Watch This Week: AAVE V4 Proposal, Aster Chain Mainnet Launch, and More

Cryptocurrency analyst The DeFi News Investor has shared a list of altcoins worth watching closely, along with key developments this week. The analyst stated that project-related updates and macroeconomic developments could trigger volatility in the cryptocurrency market in the coming days.

According to the list, decentralized finance (DeFi News) protocol Aave is about to undergo a major development. A governance proposal to launch Aave V4 on the Ethereum network has been officially released. On the infrastructure project front, the Aster Chain mainnet is expected to launch this month. Meanwhile, Thorchain is reportedly preparing to add native swap support for Zcash, which could be an important step in increasing liquidity for the ZEC and RUNE ecosystems.

Token issuance and network updates are also attracting investor attention. The Katana project's Token Generation Event (TGE) will be held on March 18. In the MultiversX ecosystem, the testnet version of the SuperNova update (described as the largest upgrade since the network's mainnet launch) will launch on March 16. Another noteworthy development in token economics will occur with LayerZero (ZRO). Approximately $52 million worth of ZRO tokens will be unlocked on March 20.
