According to this policy, the ETF's management fee revenue forms gross profit after deducting certain operational costs, from which a fixed percentage is allocated to independent grantmaker organizations. These organizations focus on funding developers of Bitcoin's core code, network infrastructure, and security tools, ensuring that technological evolution is not disrupted by short-term market sentiment.
Hong Kim, co-founder and CTO of Bitwise, stated, "As the crypto industry expands, we have a responsibility to continuously invest resources, just like traditional financial institutions do in their own systems, to safeguard the independence and resilience of the Bitcoin protocol. Developers are the cornerstone of the ecosystem, and their work should not be interrupted by price fluctuations."
