Recently, Druk Holding and Investments (DHI), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bhutan, has once again undertaken a large-scale adjustment of its Bitcoin assets. Data from on-chain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence shows that within the past 24 hours, wallets controlled by DHI have transferred out approximately $72.3 million worth of Bitcoin.

This asset transfer occurred against the backdrop of a generally sluggish cryptocurrency market. The Kingdom of Bhutan has significantly reduced its Bitcoin holdings since 2024. Data indicates that Bhutan's Bitcoin holdings peaked in October 2024, at which point it held approximately 13,295 BTC. Since then, DHI has been gradually selling off its Bitcoin reserves.

Calculated at the market's historical peak price in October 2025, this peak reserve of approximately 13,295 BTC was once valued at over $1.6 billion. However, the Kingdom of Bhutan had already begun implementing its divestment strategy prior to the subsequent market crash.
