Islamabad Enhances Traffic Control Ahead of US-Iran Talks

Today (April 18), the capital of Pakistan officially implemented a ban on the entry of heavy vehicles into the city. Additionally, control measures at local long-distance bus stations have been upgraded, and the operating hours of the metro and buses have been shortened. These traffic upgrades in Islamabad aim to enhance the atmosphere of "mutual trust" by providing absolute safety in physical space to compensate for the lack of diplomatic confidence, demonstrating to Washington and Tehran that Islamabad's negotiation table is not only a geographical transit point but also an absolute safe haven for information and security. Currently, the Pakistani authorities have not announced a specific timetable for the new round of US-Iran negotiations.
