In an interview on the 19th, Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated to local media that Iran's decision to cease fire aims to express its demands. He pointed out that negotiations are essentially a form of struggle, and Iran's main goal is to advance and consolidate national rights within this framework.
Regarding the progress of negotiations with the United States, Qalibaf mentioned that although the talks have not eliminated distrust between the two sides, there is now a more pragmatic understanding of each other. He noted that some issues have been properly addressed during the negotiations, while others remain unresolved, indicating that both sides still have a long way to go before reaching a final agreement.
Furthermore, Qalibaf emphasized that Iran maintains its position on certain issues, and these demands are non-negotiable.
