Cargo Ship Attacked Again in the Strait of Hormuz

On April 22 local time, Vanguard, a maritime intelligence company, reported that a cargo ship was attacked while attempting to transit the Strait of Hormuz, marking the third vessel to be targeted that day. According to reports, the cargo ship "MSC Francesca," flying the flag of Panama, was attacked in waters approximately 6 nautical miles from the Iranian coast while heading south after leaving the Strait of Hormuz towards the Gulf of Oman. The vessel reported that its "hull and living quarters were damaged." Prior to this incident, the UK Maritime Trade Operations had issued a report regarding the attacks on two vessels in the area.
